Fiat, Mustang, Porsche, Nissan … you haven’t seen it all yet. The excitement of the 2012 New York Auto Show just keeps on giving with round #3 of the SimplyRides.com New York Auto Show Awards! See our next four awardees, below. To see our previous round of awardees, click here.
Best Auto Show Budget Buster Award
You had to see it to believe it. Jeep built a whole off-road course right in front of the Jacob Javitz Center. The thing was massive! Fun? Of course. Sure, it shows off the Jeep’s capabilities and all but, really, how much did THAT cost? No, seriously. We want to know.
Best Fancy Thumb Drive Award
Almost every automaker gives away their press info on a handy thumb drive and, while some companies find a quality, signature look and stick with it (Porsche, Lincoln), others try to come up with something fresh every time. Kudos to Nissan for this super-thin business card thumb drive that you’re very unlikely to lose. It’s too cool to misplace.
Best Car To Kiss Him In Award
Meet the 2013 Dodge Viper SRT GTS. After zipping around town in this superfast, superbad remix of the classic Dodge Viper, he’s sure to be full of excitement. So, why not take advantage of his heightened state and plant one on him as soon as he puts it in park? You might not even make it inside the house.
Best Innovation to Keep Him From Getting Lost Award
The mBrace technology in the new Mercedes-Benz lineup does neat things like let you control the car via your iPhone app and search for nearby places to nosh via Yelp, but the real magic is that it’ll keep him from getting lost—no, really. It even shows you a Google Street View of your destination so that you’ll know what to look for. Now, all you have to do is get him to use it. Hmm.
