A high-end men’s salon returns to the Harlem scene
By Diane Da Costa
Not too long ago, there was a men’s grooming spot that brought the ultimate luxury grooming and spa services to what has often been called “New Harlem.” The first and only grooming spa of its kind, BBraxton soon exceeded all expectations. Not only did it become a hot spot for Harlem events, it also became an unofficial meeting place for like-minded black men.
Now, after a brief hiatus, BBraxton is back by popular demand. Director, choreographer, dancer, Broadway performer and, of course, BBraxton CEO Ms. Brenda Braxton reopened her visionary salon offering “exceptional grooming for exceptional men” on Wednesday, January 12.
The grand reopening celebration, which was held the evening of January 11th, wasn’t even hindered by a full-on snow storm warning. Despite the weather, Broadway dancers, Harlem taste-makers and dedicated BBraxton clients were on hand to be treated to passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and tasty brownie desserts. More than seventy-five well-wishers came out to celebrate with Ms. Braxton.
Armed with a new partner and management team, BBraxton now boasts tonsorial services, The Art of Shaving products (exclusive to BBraxton in Harlem), Frederick Benjamin Grooming Hair Care for Men, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.
Ladies, gift the man in your life with an exceptional Valentine’s Day treat at this luxury grooming spot! And try not to be jealous– you’ve been enjoying spa days forever. Let him have one (or two).
