When Chevrolet has a party, they do it big. SimplyRides.com was fortunate enough to be invited to Chevy’s Urban Style, an event, “connecting designers from all industries to pay tribute to the influence of urban style and to exchange ideas and share inspirations with creative minds.” Of course, the centerpiece of the party was the completely redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Impala. This is the 10th generation of the Impala, one of Chevy’s most iconic car brands. Featured guests included Crystal Windham, the first African-American woman to hold the title of Director of Interior Design for Chevrolet Cars and Small Crossovers; Kevin Jackson, a GM Connected Customer Specialist; Kara Gordon, the lead acoustic noise engineer for the Impala; Chad Lyons, the Chevrolet Communications Manager for mid-size and full-size sedans; and Rick Williams, the founder and creative director of a branding and design agency as well as the co-owner of two Detroit-based sneaker and apparel boutiques.
