Another year, another Detroit Auto Show. This time I checked out the North American International Auto Show as a guest of the General Motors Diversity Team, but there was a twist. In addition to covering the biggest auto show of the year with a group of talented journalists, we also traveled with a stellar group of college journalism students. All of the college students were exposed to the Detroit auto show for the first time and they seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. Also, they had the advantage of being paired with some journalism mentors to help them along. I was honored to be selected as one of the mentors. Here I am pictured with my co-mentor Aaron Arnold (far right) and our mentees (left to right), LaTasha Channel Spivey, Chris Ehrmann and Ariel Parrella-Aureli. Below, you can see some of the fun photos I took and posted on Instagram during the trip (plus a pic of President Obama at the auto show). The best part? Watching our mentees create a whole webisode in two hours! Now that’s impressive. -SekouWrites
