During the 2oth Anniversary of the ESSENCE Festival this past weekend, Ford Motor Company was definitely in the spirit of giving.
Not only did Ford give to their own Warriors in Pink initiative, they also presented ESSENCE Communications with a donation directly. Ford cut a very generous check of $20,000 and gave it to ESSENCE and, although nothing has been announced yet, ESSENCE will probably donate those funds to nonprofits that serve families and women.
As the exclusive automotive sponsor of the festival, Ford was also involved in a number of innovative activations around new Orleans like a 2015 Ford Mustang giveaway on Sunday, sponsoring the #NOLAcrawl Style Suite day party on Saturday, and a partnership with singer Sevyn Streeter who recorded her first trip to the Essence Festival via an online series on essence.com.
